Terms & Conditions

1. About Niche Eats
Niche Eats ("we", "us", "our") operates a website that helps people find restaurants and places to eat based on dietary needs, cuisine, and other preferences. By using niche-eats.co.uk (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
2. Using the Site
You may browse and search listings freely. Restaurant information — opening hours, menus, dietary badges, photos, and similar details — is drawn from a mix of public sources and information supplied by restaurant owners. We do our best to keep it accurate and current, but we can't guarantee it's always correct or up to date. Always confirm important details (opening hours, allergen handling, availability) directly with the restaurant before visiting, particularly for medical dietary requirements.
3. Claiming and Adding Listings
If you're a restaurant owner or authorised representative, you can claim an existing listing or submit a new one, free of charge. We review claims and new submissions before they go live or change hands, and we may ask for evidence that you're authorised to manage the listing. We reserve the right to decline, edit, suspend, or remove any listing at our discretion — including for inaccurate information, inappropriate content, or a business closing or ceasing to trade.
Once you've claimed a listing, you're responsible for keeping its details accurate. You confirm that any content you upload — photos, menus, descriptions — is either owned by you or that you have the right to use and publish it, and you grant us a licence to display it on the Site.
4. Owner Accounts
If you create an account to manage a listing, you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity under your account. Let us know straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or defamatory information about any business.
- Claim a listing you're not authorised to manage.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or republish substantial parts of the Site's content without permission.
- Use the Site in any way that could disrupt or damage it, or its users.
6. Third-Party Links
Listings may include links to third-party websites — booking platforms, review sites, social media, or a restaurant's own website. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these third-party sites.
7. Intellectual Property
The Site's design, code, and original content belong to Niche Eats or our licensors. Restaurant-supplied content (photos, menus, descriptions) remains the property of the party who supplied it, subject to the licence described in section 3.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or reliance on information found on it, including inaccurate listing details. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited or excluded, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or remove a listing at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
