The Shuckburgh Arms in Southwick (the Shuck) is a quintessential English Pub. Serving 3 real ales brewed locally, 3 draught lagers, Guiness and on the odd occasion a 12% beer that is not for the lighthearted! Add to this a choice of 3 red and 3 white wines the usual mix of hard and soft drinks and an atmosphere rarely bettered – we like to think that you will rather enjoy visiting‘the Shuck’. We serve good traditional pub grub with our speciality on a Thursday night being – cheaper than the chippy – at just £6.00 – check out our full menu. The Shuckburgh Arms and is thought to date from the 16th century. The pub was brought into the estate by the owner George Capron in about 1839. He named it after his cousin the Rev. J. Shuckburgh.
