Cavners was founded in 1879 by George Cavner and has been serving Leicestershire and Rutland ever since. Current boss Neil took over from his father, also Neil in 2000. Neil Jnr had started helping out at 12 years old and left school to join the family business at 16. In 2010 Neil was joined by his son Alex, closely followed by his younger brother Dan. Neils mother, Polly still likes to be kept regularly informed on the day to day running of the business even at 83! Alex and Dan are the sixth generation in a real family business.
