The Spotted Calf cafe is a community owned business! 262 Shareholders raised the money to buy the site from a developer who wanted to demolish the cafe and build 8 houses on the car park in 2017. Since then we have saved the post office which would have been lost to the village and become a hub for all members of the community. We employ 10 members of staff (all from the village) and 11 volunteers. All Cakes, Paninis and Scones are baked in the village by our expert bakers. We were recently nominated for a National Community Business award! xxx
